Idolatrous communities refuse to consider and honor complementary
virtues, ideals, values, principles; and so refuse to consider or
honor people who are incarnations of such complementary realities.


The denigration of complementary realities is the essence of idolatry.


Thus the denigration of paradoxes is present in all idolatrous
communities; for tolerating paradoxes entail showing reverence towards
complementary realities which appear to be mutually contradictory ---
to domineering people
 who are committed to partial and fragmented
truths.


True lovers graciously affirm many paradoxical whole truths. 
True lovers are not tolerated in idolatrous communities of domineering people who
are committed to only fragmentary truths and so to framentation and
disintegration.
