In the reflexive/subjective realm we have no specific objective organs with which we discern what relationships and connections are "real". We do not discern realities within the reflexive/subjective realm directly --- with our eyes, ears, taste-buds, nose, or sense of touch. Instead we discern realities in the reflexive/subjective realm indirectly with the aid of our five senses. Discernment within the reflexive/subjective realm has to do with perceiving: connections, relationships, processes, interactions, communications, reactions and responses --- and how they all inter-relate with each other. The process of reflexive discernment and perception entails articulations at the sub-conscious, conscious, and communal levels. Discernment is realized in the sharing of that which is discerned. Usually sharing entails articulation, verbalization, talking, listening, and confirmation. Yet for people in some close relationships --- communication seems to occur without verbalization, talking or confirmation --- but that communication which seems to occur is only rarely subject to objective verification --- because few of the people involved see any reason to do so. It should be clear that people who are preoccupied primarily (if not exclusively) with objects and objective relationships --- and with issues of control --- are likely to block the possibility of discernment and articulation within the reflexive/subjective realm.
