Level of integration of aspects of self. 9. Level of integration of aspects of community. 10. Level of integration of self within community. 11. History of friendships & intimate relationships. 12. History of abusive and coercive relationships. 13. Experiences of freedom to be safely vulnerable. 14. Conceptions of good, evil, security & salvation. What a person is conscious of as their own desires and the conflicts between their own desires and what are thought/felt to be "proper" desires --- depend upon all of the above, and more. It is not really possible to sort out what are a person's own authentic desires --- compared to what are the desires which the person thinks/feels are the "proper" desires of which they may "properly" be aware, think about, consider taking conscious steps to fulfill, and/or actually take conscious steps to fulfill. Often clear distinctions are not made about the many ways in which a person may be aware, feel, consider, intend, and actually take action relating to various desires.
