True SECURITY is an ESSENTIAL FOUNDATION for
INTEGRATIVE COOPERATION because in the absence of true
SECURITY people are unlikely to engage in open and honest
dialogue about what matters most to them. Such open and
honest dialogue about what matters most to people --- is
essential to integrative cooperation among them and to
their learning from their mistakes and blunders.
True SECURITY is the freedom to be safely vulnerable
in open and honest dialogue within many different kinds of
contexts: friendships, intimate relationships, religious
meetings, public meetings, political meetings, business
meetings, etc. In the absence of such freedom to be
safely vulnerable in open and honest dialogue --- people
can barely be honest with themselves, and so are stunted
in their ability to learn from their mistakes and
blunders.
True SECURITY is NOT not based upon invulnerability,
dominance, power, wealth, superiority, or technologies
used to manipulate, coerce, violate, or punish those
people who are weaker, poorer or more gentle. When people
do think or feel that security is based upon such non-
charitable foundations --- people prepare for war within:
families, churches, schools, markets, cities, provinces,
states, nations, planet-earth, and within the space around
planet-earth.
True SECURITY is NOT achieved in any way. True
SECURITY is enjoyed through the liberating exchange of
gracious gifts of the freedom to be safely vulnerable in
open and honest dialogue. People who are imprisoned in
collusive games of mutual self deception are bound to
experience such gifts of SECURITY as profound threats to
their dishonest games, and are likely to reject both the
gifts and the people who offer them. Such gifts threaten
their whole conception of their "proper" grounds for:
hope, advancement, success, righteousness, salvation, and
eternal life beyond death.
True SECURITY is NOT achieved by excluding people who
are "different". True SECURITY is enjoyed through the
integration of people who are "different" into cooperative
communal efforts to help each person to fulfill their
unique potentials within the context of healthy
communities wherein peace-making and conflict-resolution
are taught and practiced each day --- so that each person
is freed to be creatively involved in community-building.
True SECURITY is NOT based upon getting people to
conform to any correct set of pre-scriptions, pro-
scriptions, or scripturally based commandments. True
SECURITY is enjoyed by people who respect the full
spectrum of ESSENTIAL FOUNDATIONS for INTEGRATIVE
COOPERATION --- seen as being mutually complementary,
rather than as being in competition with each other for
the dominant position in a chain of command.
True SECURITY is NOT based upon the formulation and
proper interpretation and enforcement of good laws --- for
such formulations, interpretations and enforcements can
readily be undermined by the contentious efforts of
relatively small opposing minorities, who are addictively
preoccupied with issues of dominance and control --- often
within the frame-work of inter-twined collusive games of
mutual self deception.
True SECURITY is not a gift which can be helpfully
given to people who continue to regard themselves as:
incompetent, impotent, unable to learn, and unable to take
care of themselves --- for such people remain dependent
and vulnerable and insecure in their dependency.
True SECURITY is NOT enjoyed by people who are
dominated by exclusive considerations or patterns of
behavior ---for exclusivity leads to alienation,
estrangement, misunderstandings, confusion and prejudices;
i.e., relationships which are evil.
