     People  who have never experienced being accepted  as
they  are,  without the need to engage in  pretense,   are
likely  to  be  unable  to believe it is  possible  to  be
accepted  as  they  are,  without the need  to  engage  in
pretense.    This  is  especially the case  if  they  have
repeatedly  had  it made clear to them that they  will  be
accepted  as a member of various communities if,  and only
if, they meet the various conditions for membership in the
various communities.

     In  many people's experiences,  the rule is  enforced
without  exception:   "to  be accepted you must  meet  the
conditions of membership in the accepting community."  You
will not be accepted into membership if you break the rule
that acceptance into membership is always conditional upon
meeting  the  prescribed  conditions for  acceptance  into
membership.

     Further:   if you break the conditions for acceptance
into   membership  after  you  have  been  accepted   into
membership---you can be sure that you will be stripped  of
your rights of membership.   Thus:  if after you have been
accepted  into  membership you violate the rule  that  you
shall be accepting  only towards people who have fulfilled
AND   MAINTAINED   the  conditions  for  acceptance   into
membership---you   will   surely  lose  your   rights   of
membership.    It  is  inconceivable  that  it  could   be
otherwise.   It is a violation of the rules of  membership
to conceive of or talk about any other possibility.

     The  purity of our exclusive club must be maintained.
Impure  people  must not be allowed inside our club.    We
must not be seen with impure people outside our club.   We
must associate only with pure people,  else our own purity
will  be compromised and we will be ejected from our  pure
