They object to people allowing others to feel free to speculate about what they do in private. They feel that responsible people have a duty to make clear that they do not do in private what others might be embarrassed by---and they believe that any failure to fulfill that duty is irresponsible. In keeping with the above feelings/assumptions, some people feel that it is their duty to question those people who fail to make clear that they do not do anything in private that might embarrass others. They ask for assurances that the people whom they question---do not do anything in private that might embarrass others, and a failure on the part of those questioned to give such assurances is considered a sure sign of irresponsibility. The people who ask for such assurances are not asking for assurances because they have properly been given the responsibility to ask for such assurances under some duly constituted authority---but because they have very personal desires of their own which they want to satisfy at the expense of the privacy of those whom they question. If the questions in such situations are unwelcomed and persistent, the requests for assurances may reasonably be considered sexual harassment---if there are sexual connotations in the questioning. The questioner(s) are in effect seeking to seduce their victim(s) into sexual dialogue which they have not sought, and do not welcome. It is reasonable for those questioned to order their questioners to stop---because the sexual advances are unwelcomed. A failure to stop will then be a clear case of sexual harassment---unless it is very clear that the questioning is taking place under the protection of "due process" in a carefully constituted judiciary proceeding.
