It was not a perfect community because there were only two people. The Garden does not represent the solution of social dilemmas, because there were no social challenges. The Garden does not represent the solution of the difficulties of wisely setting priorities regarding the use of limited resources; for the carrying capacity of the Garden far exceeded the demands of the people present. The Garden does not represent the resolution of the dilemma of maintaining personal integrity within the context of an addictive community; for there was no addictive community to deal with. The Garden does not represent the achievement of the ideal ethical or moral state; because the only rule was not to attempt to achieve the knowledge of the difference between good and evil. In the Garden Love worked to transcend the distinctions between good people who look down with condescension upon those whom they presume to be evil people who are worthy of rejection. Yet people did not understand the Word and believed that the story of the Garden is about failing to be perfect in maintaining the distinction between good people and evil people; according to the knowledge gained by eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
