To grow to maturity in reflexive considerations one needs to become a member of an affectively mature reflexive community. The essence of such a community is not contained in nor controlled by words. Words may play an essential role in helping to promote and maintain balanced personal and communal integrity within such a community, but they are not enough. One does not become reflexively mature by learning all the possible true statements about mature reflexive relationships and considerations. The essence of such maturity can not be contained in nor controlled by words. Mature understanding of such relationships and considerations can not be transmitted through verbalizations apart from mature participation in such relationships; and much less through more formal systems of symbolizations such as mathematics and symbolic logic which are divorced from participation in such relationships. The above considerations indicate that scientists who are compulsively committed to objective analytic considerations are not qualified to promote reflexive education. Because of their ideals they can not with personal and communal integrity participate in any mature reflexive community. To be true to their ideals they must be objective, separated from that which they would understand, predict and control. Participation in that which they seek to understand, predict and control is to be avoided. Thus scientists disqualify themselves in a reflexive way from participating meaningfully in the mature reflexive education of any students, whether they be science students or not. This means that science students who are trained in the sciences exclusively by non-reflexive scientists are imprisoned in non-reflexive programs. They have no way to mature in reflexive considerations by having reflexively mature scientists as role models. To grow in reflexive ways such science students must transcend the taboos and collusions of their role models who will be threatened by such such transcendence, and so will reject any such creative students and block their development as professional scientists. Females are usually more likely to be blocked than are males. In these ways scientists remain free to lead the arms race without reflexive understanding or control of what it is that they are doing.
