Jack is aware that Jill is engaged in and aware of the fact that she is engaged in self-referential behavior, but tentative about what she is doing and about being aware of what she is doing. She is tentatively violating the collusion. She is afraid that Jack may become aware and reject her, because he may continue to be faithful to the collusion. She has a vision, however, of Jack and others becoming aware of her courageous behavior against the imprisonment of the collusion. In the vision they become aware of her courageous behavior and aware of their self-referential awareness and their failure to be faithful to the collusion, yet in the vision they do not become fearful---and so become free to affirm her courage to engage in self-referential behavior---and to be fully conscious of what she is doing and of others fully conscious of and approving of their courageous violations of the taboos against self-referential behavior within a community of supporters. They form a community participating in true dialogue in which they are free to listen openly to what each other has to share openly about their experiences of courageous exploration of uncharted territories of human behavior. As a community Jill and Jack and their friends become wisely aware of what they as a community are doing which is unwise---and so are able to turn to wiser behavior. They do so by violating the taboos against non- objective behavior which is self-referential in both personal and communal ways. As a community they escape from the prison of the collusion against behavior which transcends the ideals of scientists and technocrats---who seek security in manipulative understanding, prediction and control of impersonal realities which yield to such behavior.
