It may transcend the limitations of science, and free the technocratic society from its collusions. How is it possible for technocrats to recognize sensitive persons? Traditional objective techniques will most likely violate sensitive persons---rather than help identify them. Thus sensitive persons are not likely to make themselves known to a confirmed technocrat; it would be risky to do so. A sensitive person might make tentative approaches to a technocrat who no longer has unquestioning faith in techniques, and who publicly is open about doubts regarding traditional faith in knowledge, skills, techniques, etc. If such tentative approaches are appropriately responded to, communication may begin to bridge the dichotomy between complementary approaches to human situations. Each person may discover that their traditional approach is not the answer to the ultimate questions and dilemmas in the human condition. Such beginnings may help avoid needless tragedy. Through sensitivity, communication is increased and personal potentialities made evident. New questions become evident.
