Motivations and behavior decline, become bloacked, and/or perverted when reciprocal perceptions decline, become blocked, and/or perverted. It is not enough to be aware of another person, for the other to make a creative difference to self. It is not enough for self and other to be aware of each other. It is not enough for self and other to be aware of each other, as being aware of each other. Human motivations originate in reciprocal perceptions which go to even higher levels of reciprocity, than such mutual awareness of mutual awareness. Sometimes, but not often enough, the science instructor is aware of his student as a real person. Sometimes, but not often enough, the science student is aware of his science instructor as a real person. But even in instances where there is mutual awareness, there may not be mutual awareness of mutual awareness: and even if there is mutual saareness of mutual awareness, there may not be mutual stimulation of motivations to engage in creative scientific investigations. Suppose the student perceives the science instructor as a programmer who perceives the student as a programmable automaton. Suppose that the instructor perceives the student as a defective programmable auto- maton who perceives the instructor as an over-demanding perfectionist, who seeks to maintain standards --- through quality control as in a mass-production factory, by rejection of defective manufacutured items. In such a situation there is mutual awareness of mutual awareness--- and it may even be accurate. Yet that awareness will not serve as the generator of creative motivations on the part of either the student or the instructor. In such instances, beahavior follows the decline, blockage, and/or perversion of the higher levels of reciprocal perceptions. Love involves both consideration and caring, with the focus of the consideration and caring being the welfare of the other; joy coming from the higher levels of reciprocal perception of the reciprocal awareness of reciprocal enjoyment which reciprocal caring generates. Attractive scientists will have the emotional security to enter into reciprocally intimate personal relationships, which will stimulate creative motivations --- in the presence of mutual sympathy and empathy. ==========================================================
