Biologists have discovered much regarding biological processes and evolutionary processes---which are the foundations for human nature---and so explain the instinctive drives and tendencies which are the origins of human motivation. Thus viewed the behavior of all scientists may be illuminated by the basic discoveries of biologists. Sociologists have discovered that the nature of humans depend upon the social context of childhood, wherein value structures and patterns of personal communication and alienation are generated. Thus the value structures of scientists which determine their choices of research work---can be understood only with the assistance of the sociologist. What then of the philosopher, theologian, mathematician, technician, farmer, etc.? Each is likely to see their own specialty as essential to others---but be unaware of the essential roles which other specialties play.
