Tragic-Polarizations often develop around: crusades, empire-building, wars, human-sexuality, raising-children, religious-education, religious-perpectives, ethics, morality, political-elections, religion-versus-science, limited/finite natural resources, concentrations of power, concentrations of wealth, military-industrial-complexes, abuses of corporations' powers, etc.
It is rarely helpful to chose one of two dominant positions in any conflict. Real help comes from people who can see the bigger picture and suggest ways to promote and facilitate open and honest dialogue about the bigger picture --- within sanctuaries where all people can be safely vulnerable within such open and honest dialogue.
Essays here are attempts to help people who are involved in alienative conflicts to see the bigger picture --- within which gracious ways can be created --- to truly and finally resolve the alienative conflicts; without being preoccupied with who wins and who loses.
To resolve conflicts which have been framed in either/or dichotomous ways --- we must see the conflicts within wider perspectives which deal openly and honestly with the differing assumptions, attitudes, perspectives, values, ideals, and anxieties --- of those people who are involved and/or are interested/concerned bystanders.
Thus, the essays here deal directly with the most-basic-underlying-issues which are often kept under-cover; because people are too embarrassed and threatened to deal with the underlying issues directly. To engage in open and honest dialogue --- would entail the risk of exposing how incoherent and vulnerable people would become --- if they got involvved in truly open and honest dialogue! Many people prefer to continue playing collusive-games-of-mutual-self-deception --- and to risk-or-move toward total-global-destruction --- which is viewed as a better alternative!
