The essays are written within the context of believing that many different kinds of people can learn to work with each other cooperatively --- in ways which integrate a wide variety of mutually complementary talents, insights, and skills into a coherent whole. People who share that belief are the ones who will most likely find stimulating insights when reading essays.

People who are troubled by what they find in the essays will probably do better not to trouble themselves by reading essays. They may need to find healthy authoritarians who graciously demonstrate the ability to lead others into healthy life styles which help all kinds of people to be open and honest with each other in mutually cooperative activities and relationships. . . .
