     Some people feel that it is their duty/responsibility
to:

     (1)  Be  enthusiastic spectators,  being  present  at
many exciting happenings --- so that they  can  engage  in
conversations about what they have seen with other people.

     (2)  Become    well   informed    through    reliable
complementary  sources  about  what is happening  in  some
selected areas of special interest and concern ---  so  as
to  be  able  to  make prudent  decisions  about  whom  to
encourage, support and make suggestions to.

     (3)  Be  active in trying to change  people's  views,
attitudes and committments ---  in light of their own long
held views, attitudes and committments.  They already know
what  they need to know and do not need to seek additional
information and points of view.   What is really important
is eternal, and they already know enough!

     (4)  Engage  in regular meditation,  prayer  and  the
discipline of a truly spiritual life which transcends  the
rush  of most people's-daily-activities.   Only when  they
are deeply in touch with the ground-of-being can they make
a significant difference in the course of human events.

     (5)  Study scholars' views,  scriptures and classical
writing in  search  of  reliable truths and  insights  ---
which transcend the transitory fads of today.

     (6)  Study  the findings of objective scientists  who
have  transcended  reflexive,   subjective  and  fantastic
realms  of  imagination  which are not  well  grounded  in
reality in enduring ways.

     (7)  Rely  upon authoritative spiritual teachers  who
are  well  grounded  in ancient  religious  teachings  and
traditions --- that have stood the tests of time.

     Many  different people are sure that they have  found
"Absolute-Truth"   ---  yet they disagree with each other.
What  are  we  to  make of  their  disagreements  and  the
contentious  ways  in  which  they  treat  each  other  in
alienative ways?  How transcendent have they become?

     Be Graciously-Together in the Ways-of-Shalom!
