Isolated individuals have rarely survived for long. Even more rarely have isolated humans survived with any true (honest) sense of security and pleasure. For humans, security has to do with experiencing the joys/pleasures of being safely vulnerable within a true community which sustains a sanctuary where true (honest) vulnerability is experienced within intimate relationships which endure as contexts for security, joy and pleasure. Can isolated COMMUNITIES achieve egocentric security; i.e., while alienated from other communities within their interdependent environments; e.g., within Planet Earth? Alienation, estrangement and isolation undermine the possibilities of trust, honesty and cooperation; and thus make the enjoyment of true (honest) security difficult, if not impossible. Alienation, estrangement and isolation pertain to our relationships as relationships; not to any individual as an individual. It is futile to blame any individual as an individual for any alienation, estrangement or isolation; because it is impossible for any individual as an individual to overcome any alienation, estrangement or isolation. Relationships of alienation, estrangement and isolation are evil. Relationships which are evil can be healed only with the cooperation of participants/victims of the evil relationships. Focusing blame, guilt and shame on individuals cannot help promote reconciliation, healing and cooperation; and will most likely will promote more alienation, hurt, resentment, anger and frustration.
