Human DESIRES to control others, keep them apart, or
exclude them; imply desires which leads to alienation
--- for fulfillment of the desires entail alienation, and
any denial of that fact is dishonest in ways which entail
alienation because dishonesty entails alienation. So also
PREOCCUPATIONS with issues of control, keeping
people apart, and exclusivity --- entail alienation.
Human DESIRES and PREOCCUPATION are woven together
into patterns and fabrics which are inter-related with
each other; and are to be understood in terms of their
patterns of inter-relationships; or they will not be
understood in any meaningful ways.
Meaningful understanding does not come to people who
desire to control others, keep them apart, or exclude
them. So also PREOCCUPATIONS with issues of control,
keeping people apart, and exclusivity --- block
understanding.
There is no ISOLATED scripture, confessional
statement, doctrine, ritual, institutional element,
organizing principle, or political organization which can
be relied upon exclusively --- to serve as the means
for transcending the above tragic patterns in
human relationships; i.e., for protecting
"believers/proponents" against tragic patterns in human
relationships. That which is relied upon in
ISOLATION leads to alienation which is evil.
Exclusivity is tragically alienative. Exclusivity does
not lead to the enjoyment of personal or communal
integrity; to peace or shalom; to reconciliation or
recovery; to health or wholeness. Beware of people who
believe and contend otherwise.
