Because such powerful people are uncomfortable with such knowledge, they tend to inhibit open and honest dialogue and so promote alienation which is central to all that is evil. Such powerful people are often preoccupied with issues of control. They are prone to try to "fix" uncomfortable situations, relationships and knowledge through the imposition of controls. Because of their discomfort with intimate knowledge --- they promote ignorance which undermines wise and prudent decisions and actions. In their self-imposed ignorance they behave in prejudicial ways which augment their kinds of discomfort, inhibitions, alienation, relationships, ignorance, prejudice, arrogance and self-righteousness. They cannot tolerate the works of Love which promote reconciliation, conflict resolution, openness, honesty, dialogue, and intimate knowledge of self and each other. They cannot tolerate healthy people who are true to themselves and each other in open and honest dialogue; for such behaviors are rarely engaged in by people who are threatened by preoccupations with issues of control; and so are tied inside Gordian knots of double and triple binds.
