     Conflicts in life are inevitable and unavoidable.  It                                              
is  dishonest to pretend that conflicts do not  exist  in:                                              
families,   churches,   schools,  neighborhoods,   cities,                                                                     
states,   nations  and/or the world.     To  promote  both                                                                     
personal and communal integrity we must deal honestly with                                                                
the conflicts which do exist ---  acknowledging the nature   
of the conflict, the power disparities which exist between                                             
contestants, and brainstorming about  the most integrative                
possible resolution of the conflicts.                                              
                                                                                                                               
     Conflicts   become  increasingly disintegrative  when                                              
contestants  resort  to any of the following  to  gain  an

     Any  use  of any of the above invites others  to  use               
more of the above --- and it is difficult for participants                           
to  decline  the invitation in the interests of  promoting
