We will (through how we detach from reality) confirm the validity of our ultimate faith. If we have ultimate faith that we live within an ultimate reality in the spirit of that ultimate reality--- and in communion with all aspects of it; we are free to be true to ourselves and each other in regards to what we perceive to be the most important aspects of our lives and relationships. We will (through how we seek to be in open and honest dialogue with personal and communal integrity) confirm the validity of our ultimate faith. Neither kind of ultimate faith disproves the validity of the contrasting kind of ultimate faith. Each kind of faith leads toward the confirmation of the focus of the faith---even though the confirmation may not be complete. Neither kind of ultimate faith has the power to undermine the contrasting kind of ultimate faith. Ultimate faiths are not undermined by any form of coercive: proof, argumentation, reason, logic, science, experimentation, etc. Some personal incarnations of integrative faiths (do through their personal and communal integrity) attract others who admire what the see and so come to be additional incarnations of such an integrative faith. Most personal incarnations of disintegrative faiths demonstrate to perceptive people the futility of disintegrative faiths and so courage many perceptive people to shy away from disintegrative faiths. The kinds of lives which we and our communities experience depend much upon our conceptions of the nature of the ultimate reality in which we are embedded. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
