     %EVOLUTION IDEALS VALUES REGARD NONFULFILLMENT 950925

     Consider the evolution of our ideals and values;  and
the evolution of the ways in which we regard humans who do
and/or do not fulfill our evolving ideals and values.

     Nothing we know in human life is unchanging.

     Our  ideals,   values  and ways  of  regarding  human
successes and failures in fulfilling ideals and values are
always evolving.   They are not eternal.   Any belief that
any  of  them are eternal is the product of some  form  of
deception.

     We  need  to  seek  to do what  we  can  do  to  help
evolution  to  be  towards greater personal  and  communal
integrity;   rather  than towards  personal  and  communal
disintegration.   Fixating  upon  any  particular  set  of
ideals,  values and ways of regarding human  successes and
failures  as  if they are ABSOLUTES---is to be  guilty  of
idolatry;  and  is  to stifle   God's  work  in  promoting
