     It  is  interesting  to  note  that  people  who  are
committed  to  objectivity regularly engage in rituals  of
celebration  of  the  value and  importance  of  objective
facts, measurements,  computations and communal consensus.
Such  rituals are reflexive activities which  reflect  the
ideals,  values, priorities and sense of what is important
to  the participants---they are not objective patterns  of
behaviors  which  coherently  affirm  the  importance   of
detachment  from and indifference toward issues pertaining
to  ideals,     values,     priorities  regarding  what is
important.    In fact,  often  the  rituals  are much like
religious services of worship  in which it is taboo to ask
questions   which    would   cast doubt  upon the value of
gathering  together  to  participate  in  the  ritualistic
activities.

     These  rituals  occur  often in  scientific  research
laboratories,  graduate school lecture halls,  and meeting
rooms of hotels in great cities where celebrants  annually
gather in nation-wide and  word-wide convocations to share
their deeply held convictions  and beliefs about objective
facts---without   ever   examining or    questioning   the
philosophical  presuppositions and  beliefs which serve as
the contextual matrix within which their objective rituals
are conducted.

     These  objective rituals would make interesting  case
studies  for  anthropological investigations  into  tribal
activities of sub-cultures which separated themselves  off
from  their  community  as a whole---to carry  out  occult
rituals  which  are  not  understood  by  members  of  the
