We affirm that it is good to be honest about our inmost being who we are, just as we are, in being true to our self and others. In a true confession we transcend the limitations of compulsive dedications to restrictive objectivity which does not permit us to be true to self or others---because of convictions that reflexive relationships between self and others are threats to the apparent integrity of the exclusive paradigm of objectivity and scientific analysis. In a true confession we may courageously affirm the reflexive discovery that the apparent integrity of the paradigm---of restrictive objectivity and scientific analysis is an illusion, if not a collusion. We may realize (become aware of and/or make real) the fact that in the absence of honestly shared reflexive truths---all objective truths become meaningless, worthless and insignificant; and we become unable to share them with each other with any confidence or honesty. Technocratic attempts to restrict true confessions of reflexive insights lack integrity. Such attempts are made by people who are seeking to defend collusive paradigms--- and they are guided by: scientific, engineering, legalistic, nationalistic, ethnic, ethical, religious, moral, or political considerations. Attempts to undermine, require, manipulate, coerce, or otherwise control intimate honesty always lack integrity. People who do not understand why such attempts lack integrity are people who themselves lack reflexive insight and integrity; perhaps because they are compulsively dedicated to ideals and values which show no respect for reflexive insights and integrity. They are dangerous people because they lack integrative balance. (c) 2005 by Paul A. Smith in (On Being Yourself, Whole and Healthy) ==========================================================
