We have watched role models of integrity do so without embarrassment, with pride, and with communal respect. 2. Our role models for the activity have been people whom we respected, and who respected us as persons. 3. Engaging in the activity has not been the occasion for embarrassment on the part of others, threats on the part of others, or fear of rejection by others. 4. We have not been given reasons for regarding the activity to be dangerous beyond the possibility of us coping prudently with the dangers naturally inherent in being active. 5. Our family, relatives, associates, and trusted friends regard the activity as significant, meaningful, and worthy of respect. 6. We have a theoretical framework within which we perceive the activity as likely to contribute to our personal and communal integrity; rather than threaten them. 7. The activity fits reasonably within our primary paradigm; or we see it as helping us and others to transcend the limitations of a paradigm which we have come to experience as unhealthy, debilitating and disintegrative. 8. We find that we can engage in the activity without being rejected, alienated, excommunicated, disfellowshipped, or otherwise separated from our supportive community. 9. We see the activity as contributing meaningfully to our overall spiritual life, and as promoting personal and communal integrity in our religious life. 10. We enjoy engaging in the activity, doing so brings us and others pleasure, and we remember engaging in the activity with positive emotions. To the extent that some of the above conditions are not met, to such an extent we find it difficult to engage in an activity meaningfully and/or to regard it as a an actual or potentially significant aspect of our life. The above considerations are relevant to the improvement of all educational activities in families, schools, colleges, universities, businesses, and social service agencies in all our communities. How well our children learn, how well they will be, and how well they will help their children fulfill their potentials---will depend to a large extent upon how wisely we and they consider the above pre-requisites to integrative education.
