     Suggestions and guidance which may be received wisely
and helpfully by many people in  many  contexts---may   on
some  occasions  become  the  cause  of  much frustration,
resentment,  anger and alienation;  if the suggestions and
guidance   are   regarded  as  requiring   obedience   and
conformity by all persons in all contexts--both public and
private.  This is true no matter  how helpful and wise the
suggestions  and  guidance have  been found to be by  many
people in many contexts.

     No suggestions or guidance which can be expressed  in
words can be received wisely  and helpfully by all persons
in  all contexts,  times,  and places;  so  none should be
regarded  as  requiring obedience and  conformity  by  all
persons in all contexts---both public and private.  It  is
disintegrative to pretend otherwise,  or to require anyone
to pretend  otherwise.   Dishonesty,  whether voluntary or
required,   is  disintegrative and  unworthy  of  respect,
admiration, and emulation.

     It   is  dangerous  to  worship  any  suggestions  or
guidance  which  can be expressed in words, as  worthy  of
obedience  and  conformity by all persons in all contexts.
No laws,  rules, regulations, disciplines,  suggestions or
guidance  which can be expressed by any string of words is
worthy  of  worship as if they were God.  Such idolatry is
disintegrative of persons and communities.

     In light of the above we need to be sensitive to wise
ways to recognize the contexts,  times and places in which
even  the most respected suggestions and  guidance may  be
out  of  place,  and not worthy of  ultimate  concern  and
