     Often  there is a tendency to ask why we should offer
affectional   affirmations;   feeling   that   affectional
affirmations  should  not  be  offered  unless  there   is
adequate justification to do so. To assume that there must
be adequate justification before affectional  affirmations
are offered,  is a disintegrative assumption;  it leads to
personal and communal disintegration.

     We   need   to   ask  why   not   offer   affectional
affirmations?   We need to examine carefully the logic and
consequences  of tacit beliefs and convictions that  there
must    be   justification   for   offering    affectional
affirmations.   Unbiased  consideration of abundant  human
evidence  will  make  clear  the  tragic  consequences  of
regarding   affectional  affirmations  as   justified   by
