Because of that emotionally based choice they come to believe that impersonal realities are more basic, fundamental, real, and important than are subjective personal realities. Having made those choices and having arrived at the central beliefs of their objective paradigm, they then believe that the objective evidence which they find is an unbiased foundation upon which to base their belief that their beliefs about the superiority of objectivity are beliefs which are well grounded in objective evidence. They cannot see that their paradigm and belief system is rooted in and founded upon the depersonalizing realities of their childhood, in which the lack of affection and love left them emotionally impoverished. The beliefs of their objective paradigm are but mixed-up echoes of the conclusions which they arrived at in their impoverished childhood. To arrive at unbiased beliefs upon which to base their adult lives, they need to seek help in healing the members of the impoverished family living within them due to their own personal histories. People who are imprisoned in exclusively objective paradigms need to seek to balance their paradigm with the insights which people who have known love and affection can offer. The truth about balanced living cannot be found through the efforts of people trapped in the objective paradigms. The truth is found in balance, not in exclusive beliefs about the superiority of one's own beliefs and paradigm. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
