We do not need to be in complete control or to strive for being in complete control. We do need a cognitive/affective context which encourages us to learn from the mistakes we make. The concepts which play major roles in our daily thoughts help to create the context for our daily affective relationships. Our daily affective relationships play a major role in setting the stage for our conceptual creative processes. People who are affectively insecure often seek refuge in technical manipulations of objective and cognitive realities; they become addicted to technocracy. People who are insecure with technical manipulations often seek security in affective personal manipulations; they become affective manipulators of those who are addicted to technocracy and so are codependent with them upon technocracy. Communal dichotomies are related to personal dichotomies and vice versa. To transcend dichotomies we need to deal with their roots in each other, and to work to heal the breakdowns of dialogue between those who have become specialists in mutually exclusive contexts of thought and feeling.
