Today's Professors' motivations will strongly influence what and how future teachers will teach young students. Motivations are taught incoherently sometimes, and engender hidden conflicts between what is possible and what the motivations call for. College and university professors often teach future teachers of young people, and often inculcate in them motivations which will undermine the integrity of their work. Motivation toward exclusivity in objectivity is a motivation toward withdrawal from personal intimacy, contrary to the motivations of Love for union in intimacy. To be objectively related with some thing is to have withdrawn from the possibility of an I-Thou encounter in relation to that thing which will usually slip into objectively relating to people as things, especially if the graduate school training required such relationships.
