There is always the need for improvements in consumer goods and the control of threats to human satisfaction and security. Economic and emotional well being depend upon the fruits of scientists developments. Scientists have the responsibility of making the tree of knowledge bear the fruits of perfect understanding, prediction and control. Only then can we escape the naive insecurity and impotence of being in the Garden of Eden, transcending the vulnerability which characterizes that place. It is scientists duty to work towards the transcendence of human vulnerability to natural processes which threaten human satisfaction and security. All human vulnerability and insecurity can be transcended through the perfection of scientific understanding, prediction and control. Science makes all things possible through knowledge which enables us to transcend natural laws which stand in the way of accomplishing what we set our minds to do. It is scientists duty to learn how to transcend natural laws and find ways to create technologies which will make us secure through invulnerability to all that threatens us. If some scientists say that this is impossible, there are other scientists who are more clever and patriotic and willing to rise to the challenge, especially if we offer to pay them very well for being willing to take our money in return for the opportunity to do their thing in laboratories which we will provide for them. It is scientists' duty to provide us with security through invulnerability. They must protect us against the vulnerability which we fear.
