     Education is the process of educement,  of being lead
out  of  fears of dealing with new ideas,   relationships,
experiences,    ideals,   values,   understandings,   etc.
Education  is  the  process of eliciting open  and  honest
dialogue about present and past experiences---in order  to
be   better     informed     to    deal    with     future
experiences.   Education   promotes    helpful   feed-back
loops     between  insights   gained  in  the  past,   and
opportunities   to   wisely use  those   insights  in  the
future.     Education  is  thus fundamentally  a   process
of  facilitating open and  honest dialogue to promote  the
flow of insights and  information. Education is not merely
the  accumulation of information in a flood  of  knowledge
and technology.

     Insecure  students  can  not  deal  with  new  ideas,
relationships,      experiences,      ideals,      values,
understandings,    etc.---as well as can secure  students.
A  sense  of  personal and communal security is  essential
to   successful   education.     Students  need  to   feel
completely free to be vulnerable in being open about their
reactions to  the  new.   Absent such freedom to be safely
