Languages, vocabularies, syntaxes, and concepts. 2. Assumptions, attitudes, intentions, desires, hopes. 3. Expectations and conceptions of cause-and-effect. When such people interact at the boundaries of their respective "territories" they are bound to have difficulty with miss-matches between what is unconsciously agreed upon in different ways within their different territories. It is difficult for them to become aware of what are the differences between what is "obvious" in different ways. Professionally-Trained Outstanding-Scientists and Good- Informal-Facilitators of Conflict-Resolution ( Peacemakers in the Many-Ways-of-Shalom ) have lived within contrasting paradigms. The following suggest some of the differences between them --- that may not be obvious to the members of their Two-Cultures. Scientists' Primary-Foci-of-Professional-Concerns have NOT OFTEN included REFLEXIVE-REALITIES such as: Expectations, Attitudes, Intentions, Desires, Hopes, Fears, Anxieties, Pleasures, Pains, Anger, Resentment, Alienation, Apologies, Repentance, Revenge, Estrangement, etc. --- which are NOT-OBJECTIVE-REALITIES. Good-Informal-Facilitators of Good-Conflict-Resolution (Peacemakers in the Many-Ways-of-Shalom ) are NOT-LIKELY to have focused Primarily in Formal-Ways upon OBJECTIVE- REALITIES such as: Inanimate-Objects, Collisions-Among- Them, Electrons, Protons, Neutrons, Nuclei, Atoms, Molecules; Gases, Liquids, Solids, Plazmas; Newton-Laws- of-Motion, Maxwell's-Equations, Thermodynamics, Electro- Magnetic-Interactions, Charges, Conservation-Laws, Energy, Momentum and other Inter-Related-Objective-Realities; nor on the Languages of Mathematics-and-Computations. The Two-Cultures Primary-Foci overlap in only marginal ways which are not central to their focal concerns. Where they may use the same written-spoken words-symbols- pointers the meanings of the words-symbols-pointers are likely to be different within the TWO-DIFFERENT-CULTURES, for most of the members of the TWO-DIFFERENT-CULTURES. (Granted that there are exceptional persons who live in the margins of both cultures.) For the majority of the members of both cultures there is a need to dig down below the surface of their misunder- standings, conflicts, alienations, frustrations, fears and anxieties --- to cooperate in identifying the particular realities noted above --- which they do NOT share in common in any comfortable-cooperative ways. It may be helpful for members of both contrasting cultures to describe to each other what they perceive to be the Differences-Between Healthy-Responses to Alienative- Behaviors and Un-Healthy-Responses to Alienative- Behaviors --- about which they know something. It may be helpful for members of both contrasting cultures to describe in their own words what they mean by their own words; and ask each other to confirm that they understood what each other speaking in their own words --- through agreed upon paraphrases offered in their own words --- with all the risks entailed therein.
