Often it is very revealing to take note of what people spend much time fighting against; for that reveals much about what it is that they FEAR. Even though what they fight against may not be that which they most FEAR, we may be able discern some interesting things about what they most FEAR --- by taking note of what they fight most strenuously against. We will do well to take note of what kinds of people are regularly/systematically absent from assemblies of: religious, political, scholarly, scientific, business, and other kinds of groups. Their regular and/or systematic absence may be due to overt exclusions, lack of interest on the part of those absent, due to more interesting and/or important activities at the same time, or other understandable reasons. We need to keep in mind that it takes a higher level of internationality to recognize a regular and/or systematic absence of some particular kinds of people --- than it takes to recognize the presence of unexpected kinds of people.
