Groups, as well as individuals, can act unilaterally. What is missing in unilateral actions (by individuals and/or by groups) is the invited and facilitated cooperation and/or collaboration of those individuals and/or groups which the dominant individuals and/or groups are seeking to dominate and/or control. Unilateral actors (whether individuals and/or groups) are NOT seeking cooperation or collaboration. Unilateral actors are seeking dominance and/or total control --- which cannot be achieved in the presence of much true cooperation or collaboration. Unilateral actors, dominators and controllers can be readily recognized by what is MISSING from their lives and behaviors; TRUE: lovers, peacemakers, reconcilers, balance, mutuality, reverence, hospitality, civility, patience, etc. These are NOTABLY MISSING from lives because of their compulsive concerns with issues of control and dominance. We cannot help or control unilateral actors by becoming like them by changing the primary foci in our lives --- in terms of presences and absences. If we copy them in regards to "The Powers That Be" in their dishonest lives, we will augment: domination, coercion, violence, alienation, estrangement, misunderstandings, imbalance, extremism and terrorism in our lives; and in the lives of those around us.
