Consider the following possibilities: 1. Human RELATIONSHIPS are more complex than the relationships between objects. 2. Many humans are prone to try to cope by over- simplifying situations and RELATIONSHIPS. 3. It is easier for humans to deal with RELATIONSHIPS between objects which do NOT include humans, --- than it is to deal with RELATIONSHIPS between "things" which include themselves (the humans) as the primary "things" which are central in the RELATIONSHips which they (the humans) are trying to recognize, name, describe, understand and talk about. Objective relationships are easier for humans to "stand back from" and talk about without bias --- than it is to talk about REFLEXIVE relationships AMONG those in the conversation and those unknown ones who are outside the conversation --- about whom those in the conversation know little. Ignorance often leads to bias! It is hard to see yourself as others whom you do not know see you! Alienation promotes bias! It is difficult to "stand back from" human relationships which involve domineering supporters of "The Domination System" who are tempting all other participants in the relationships to become domineering in efforts to avoid being dominated. It took humans about 2,000 years to get from really asking questions about how objects relate to each other to really getting the scientific revolution in full swing. How long will it take to really get in full swing a revolution in describing REFLEXIVE RELATIONSHIPS within which we who are engaged in the conversation are honestly and openly talking about (and with) our enemies whom we do not know at all well and from whom we are now alienated as enemies. What are the first essential steps from our states of alienation from each other --- toward regular understanding and cooperation with each other person who is different and complementary to us?
