Are they seeking to achieve particular political goals through political and/or military means and techniques? 2. Are they living in some fantasy world of which we are not aware or are barely aware --- and they want us to be props in some fantasy drama managed by them on the cosmic stage of their fantastic world? 3. Are they seeking to manage the course of history or some mythic story which has cosmic significance? 4. Are they professional engineers trying to build a road, bridge, building, or electronic network --- and in need of our engineering skill and knowledge? 5. Do they want us to be members of the audience in a theater of the absurd --- to help them feel that they are not absurd in their management of their theater of the absurd. 6. Do they want us to admire their ability to dominate others through coercion, threats and bombs? 7. Do they want to make us to believe, and conform in ways which they regard as of ultimate value and reliability; even though we regard them as crazy and very dangerous. If we do not understand how domineering people view themselves and us --- it is difficult to deal with them in ways which are wise and prudent. We have to think outside of our own limited boxes in order to understand domineering people and what it is that they are trying to do to us, or with us. (c) 2005 by Paul A. Smith in (On Being Yourself, Whole and Healthy) ==========================================================
