They often fear that if their kind of people are not in control of all aspects of communal life --- then all semblance of law, order, propriety and decency will be lost. They cannot imagine that the health and integrity of a community could be based upon anything other than control being in the hands of their kind of people. Such reasoning is rooted in world views, mythologies, cosmologies and assumptions which are not articulated or examined carefully, openly, and honestly in well-educated ways --- for doing so would threaten their kind of people's ability to maintain control. Such behavior is all about the concentration of their power to be in control. It inevitably leads to corruption through the exercise of inappropriately concentrated power --- and so leads to both personal and communal disintegration. On some occasions the behaviors of supporters of "The Domination System" are rooted in emotional factors. Then "reasoning", "logic", and "thinking" may be used in retrospect --- to "explain" and/or "rationalize" courses of action which were in fact purely instinctive, expressions of emotions, and/or completely irrational. Such "explanations" and "rationalizations" may be "justifications" --- but they are not true "explanations" or "reasoning". The justifications are not based in any clear way upon clearly articulated assumptions; nor upon any disciplined pattern of reasoning, logic or thinking. Such behavior cannot be understood, transcended or mitigated in ways which fail to recognize how the behaviors are rooted in emotional factors and justifications which are lacking in clear thinking, reasoning, logic, wisdom and prudence. It is helpful on such occasions to seek to trace the emotional factors back in time through the lives of the people who are the victims of the irrational factors --- because of their experiences during their own lives, and because of the experiences of their ancestors during their lives. The tragic consequences of ancient events cascade down through many generations of victims who do not understand how and why the consequences cascade down upon and through them. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
