A person who has more power than another (due to wealth, education, birth, heritage, achievements, election, leadership, etc.) seeks to involve a person who has less power (due to contrasting reasons) in sexual relationships intended and/or designed to meet the "needs" and/or "desires" of the more powerful one. 2. A person who has more power than another for whatever reasons --- by unsubstantiated allegations and/or accusations places a person who is vulnerable --- in the position of being presumed guilty of involvement in "inappropriate" sexual relationships --- until the accused can convince the suspicious others that they are "innocent". 3. A person who is more experienced sexually than another (for whatever reasons) intentionally manipulates another person who is less experiences sexually --- into a sexual relationship which is not well informed and/or carefully considered. 4. Powerful business people devise ways of successfully promoting sales of their products and services --- by manipulating the sexual instincts and desires of potential customers. 5. People who are preoccupied with issues of control work to create communal contexts within which the pervasive mood of the community is that all members of the community must conform to some standard level and form of expression of human sexuality --- or else they will be excommunicated, alienated, cast-out, banished, etc. 6. Powerful members of a community form exclusive clubs, organizations, churches, and institutions --- within which there are unwritten rules which lead to the exclusion of persons who are suspected of not sharing standard conventional attitudes, beliefs and/or or experiences regarding human sexuality. 7. Men regard women and children as means to ends --- rather than as children like themselves, in God's Extended Family. 8. People compete with each other to position themselves as being "best" in some way which has to do with intimate relationships. (c) 2005 by Paul A. Smith in (On Being Yourself, Whole and Healthy) ==========================================================
