     Conformity has to do with obedience;  with conformity
to expectations,  requirements, commandments,  laws,  etc.
Conformity pertains to cognitive, computational,  formula,
and intellectual considerations.  Standards, expectations,
laws,  commandments,  requirements, etc.  are promulgated.
Certain people are expected to con-form;   form themselves
in keeping with what has been promulgated.    Spontaneity,
authenticity,   open and  honest  responses,   creativity,
imagination, visions, dreams,  hopes, emotional reactions,
and   their  like  are  not  "appropriate".     Calculated
responses are "appropriate".

     Conformity  has to do with the successful exercise of
control.    Those who do not con-form are deemed  unworthy
and are penalized,  rejected,  condemned,  excommunicated,
punished,  not-included.  Those who respond authentically,
openly and  honestly,   creatively  and/or  with emotional
integrity  do  not  con-form to expectations  and  so  are
deemed  unworthy and are penalized,  rejected,  condemned,
excommunicated, punished, not-included.

     People  who are preoccupied with issues of conformity
thus think, feel, act,  and behave in ways which undermine
personal   integrity   and  thereby   undermine   communal
