     There  are occasions in which the presence of people,
things,   or  behaviors is offensive.    Some  people  are
offensive.  Some things are offensive.  Some behaviors are
offensive.

     When people are offended by offensive people,  things
and behaviors; it is important to seek to  understand  the
reason for offense---for often it is more complicated than
it first appears to be.

     First  it helps to note that offense is more  notable
when the persons offended are notable,  than when they are
not  notable  people.    Little is said or done  when  the
offended  people  are  "little"  people  who  have  little
political power or influence.    Much is more likely to be
said and done when the offended people are "big" people of
much political power and influence.

     Why are notable people offended?

     Notable  people  are  offended  by  the  presence  of
"little" people who by their presence and being themselves
remind  the  notable  people of injustices  in  which  the
notable people are implicated directly or indirectly.

     Notable  people  are  offended  by  the  presence  of
"little" people who by their presence and being themselves
remind  the  notable people of truths  which  the  notable
people people are trying to hide or hide from.

     People who are playing collusive games of mutual self
deception  are  offended by people who do not  participate
willingly and willfully in the collusive games.

     People  who are trying to pretend that they  are  not
sexual creatures are offended by people who are not trying
to  pretend that they are not sexual creatures, and who do
not show respect for the pretentious people.

     People  who  are  trying to pretend  that  they  know
everything about God,  heaven and salvation---are offended
by  humble people who are not trying to pretend that  they
know everything about God,  heaven and salvation;  and  so
see through the pretense  of the pretentious people and do
not show respect for them.

     Descendants of  slave  owners  are  offended  by  the
presence  of  descendants of slaves---because of  the past
injustices that are brought to mind by the presence of the
descendants of slaves.

     Rich  people  are offended by the  presence  of  poor
people---because   they  are  reminders  of  the  systemic
patterns  of  injustice in regards  to  communal  decision
making---which help to keep the poor people poor.

     Citizens  of  developed nations are offended  by  the
presence  within  their  boarders of  citizens  of  under-
developed  nations---because of the colonial injustices of
draining  the  under-developed nations  of  their  natural
resources in order to make the developed nations what they
are.

     Highly  educated people are offended by the  presence
of  uneducated people who have not been permitted to enjoy
the  advantages of education---because of  disparities  in
power  which have been maintained by the  highly  educated
class.

     When  the  presence  of some people is  offensive  to
other people  it is essential that we look at the  offense
from the point of view of many different people---in order
to transcend the biases of the past in which  the  offense
may be rooted.

     Powerful  people  whose  disintegrative  ideals   and
values have  led them into being participants in collusive
games  of mutual self deception---are prone to  be  people
who  are willing to be oppressive towards honest people of
integrity  who  expose  collusive  games  of  mutual  self
deception---even to  the  point of crucifying  the  honest
people who are  found to be guilty of  performing  such an
