The traditions of being value neutral, objective, quantitative, computational and in control---are recognized as being incoherent, misleading, disintegrative and so lacking in integrity. Young adolescents may not be able to articulate their fears of personal and communal disintegration---but they have reliable instincts when it comes to avoiding people who pretend to be value-neutral when they are not. Compulsively objective scientists are unable to talk about their reflexive experiences, traditions, values, and behaviors---for compulsive objectivity demands that all acknowledged realities be objective realities. Not being able to talk about reflexive realities goes hand in glove with not being able to be honest about reflexive realities. Wise adolescents avoid people whom they perceive unable to be honest about their reflexive experiences; for they are are recognized as being dangerous people to be around---especially if they are admired and supported by people who are blind to their lack of integrity. Compulsively objective scientist cannot ask objective questions and thereby learn why it is that adolescents become aversive to compulsively objective scientists---for such questions miss the point. Neither can they ask reflexive questions---for reflexive questions are taboo. Compulsively objective scientists are thus alienated from the truths which they need to apprehend. Compulsively objective scientists need to learn what they need to do to become free of their compulsions. They need to recognize that they are not free of bias, not free to know the truth about their reflexive experiences, and not free to be in dialogue with people who do know the truth about their reflexive experiences. They need to acknowledge that the paradigm which leads them to continue to be compulsively objective---is tragically dysfunctional, and leads to personal and communal disintegration. The above considerations are especially relevant in the case of young women considering science professions which are most dominated by compulsively objective men--- who are unable to talk about how they respond to the presence of attractive females who are free to acknowledge and talk about their reflexive experiences.
