     People  who  are seeking to gain  respectability  and
acceptance  within a community dedicated to  an  exclusive
paradigm---cannot at the same time act honestly as leaders
in efforts to  transcend the exclusivity of  the exclusive
community.

     To gain  respectability within an exclusive community
one  must  affirm the ideals and values which  define  the
grounds for  exclusivity within the community.   Exclusive
people  will  not  respect  creative people  who  honestly
affirm the importance of transcending the exclusive ideals
and  values  which  define  the nature  of  the  exclusive
community.

     People  who  are seeking to gain  respectability  and
acceptance  within a well defined profession---must  spend
the vast majority of their time and energy working  within
the  paradigm  which defines the  profession---working  in
ways which  affirm  the ideals and values which are  taken
for granted and never doubted within the profession.  That
leaves virtually  no  time  to work  on  transcending  the
limitations of the paradigm; e.g., honestly describing and
calling  into  question the  exclusive ideals  and  values
which  cause the leaders within the profession  to  filter
out of their perceptions the experiential data which shows
that   the  profession is not as competent,   powerful  or
transcendent as it's  leaders have come to think.

     Often    creative   leaders   who  are   seeking   to
transcend  the limitations of  a  profession  must  detach
from the profession in  order  to become free to transcend
the   limiting   ideals  and  values  which   define   the
profession.

     Sometimes   professions  come  to  be  dominated   by
collusive  addictions  which  entail  preoccupations  with
technologies of manipulative understanding, prediction and
control---and   with   technical  solutions,   fixes   and
salvation.     It is not easy to sort out the real  truths
which the profession embodies, from the collusive games of
mutual  self  deception  which  double-bind  the  creative
leaders  who seek  to   transcend  the  exclusivity  which
inhibits healthy growth.

     Not all claims merit respect.   Filters of some  kind
need  to  be used to sort out claims  which merit respect,
from those claims which do not merit respect.   Some kinds
of filters must be used to do preliminary sorting.

What kinds of filters merit respect?   Filters which
promote  collusive  dishonesty,   alienation,  addictions,
exclusivity,  depersonalization,  conflict and violence do
not merit respect.  Such filters promote the decay of both
personal and communal integrity---without which all  other
