     Often   the  older we grow, the more we need  to pray
for   forgiveness  for  the  many  layers  of   repressive
prohibitions,  repressions,    suppressions,   collusions,
injunctions   and  taboos  which we have  participated  in
putting in  place---as defenses against our truly  knowing
ourselves and others in intimate ways.

     Too  often  we   are deathly in fear of  how  we  and
others might respond to  our  true discovery of our hidden
truths about our true: needs,  desires,  fears,  reflexes,
reflexivity,       prayers, responses,  pleasures,  pains,
anxieties,  and fulfillments. We are  often deathly afraid
of reflexive truths  about ourselves and others.

     We  fear  to  be  safely  vulnerable in   integrative
intimate  relationships  with  our wholes selves  and each
other.

     Our  fear  motivates  us to develop,    engender  and
refine endless   layers    of    repressive  prohibitions,
repressions, suppressions,   collusions,   injunctions and
taboos --- in self defense against what we fear.

     We  weave  steel  stranded  gordian  knots  from  the
outside in---to  protect ourselves against our inner fears
which  become more and more concentrated on  the inside of
our layers of defenses.

     We are successful in protecting ourselves against the
hazards  of   integrative intimate  relationships with our
whole selves   and   each other---by blocking all open and
honest communication with our true selves and true others.

     We pride ourselves in how objective and impersonal we
have   become   in    our   scientific   and technological
sophistication---and so  we seek  to  find salvation  from
all that   we   fear ---  through scientific  research and
the  development of  even   more sophisticated  scientific
and technological  solutions to  our  fear-full  dilemmas;
even  at  the  expense  of  the elimination of most living
species and most concentrated resources from our planetary
neighborhood.

     We   need  to  reverse  the  patterns  of  reactions,
responses,  and behaviors which  have  dominated us and by
which  we  have dominated  each other.    We need to start
working  from  the inside  out  to re-discover each  other
in open   and  honest intimate  relationships  where we do
not defend  ourselves with   alienative  technologies; but
rather  give    to ourselves and to each other the gift of
the     freedom   to   be safely vulnerable in integrative
approaches, responses and relationships.
 in and our knots cannot be untied until we on the
inside want to work  to untie them.   We are tied in knots
inside our fears.

     The  many  tearful layers of defensive onion  shields
have  been created and put in place from the  outside  in;
and cannot  be removed until we on the inside want to work
to remove them and get outside them.

     Threats   to   our   defensive  layers  of    pseudo-
security which  we  perceive  to  originate outside of our
layers  ---motivate   us  to  build  additional  defensive
layers on the  inside ---faster than layers  of alienative
defenses are removed from  the outside.     If  we are  to
truly live we must deal  honestly with the threats  to our
