%ULTIMATE EVIL REJECT CONDEMN INTEGRATIVE LOVE HEAL 931227

     It  is difficult to think of an evil greater than the
rejection  and  condemnation  of  a  person  of  integrity
because  of that person's integrative actions of love  and
healing.  In the face of evil of that degree what hope can
exist  and survive?   Such evil is compounded when  it  is
perpetuated   by   respected  religious   and/or   trusted
governmental   authorities,   and is  justified  as  being
necessary  for  the common good of the people as a  whole.
When  so compounded it is difficult to recognize,    name,
describe,  talk  about,   and transcend such evil.     Yet
that   is   the essence  of  the  story  of the growth  of
the  Christian community.

The Christian story is that of the condemnation of a
person  of integrity because of that person's  integrative
actions  of  love and healing.   Jesus was  an integrative
healer who was respected  by  the common people because he
practiced  and  preached a gospel of love and healing in a
world which was low on hope.   He was cruelly put to death
by  governmental  authorities  upon the initiative  of top
level  religious  leaders---because  of  his   integrative
actions  of   love  and  healing which  they  regarded  as
threatening  to communal  stability,   decency and  order.
The   Christian  church  grew as  it  recognized,   named,
described  and  talked  about  how  such  evil  had   been
transcended in a resurrection of hope,  love,  healing and
personal integrity.

     The early Christians heightened their affirmations by
regarding Jesus as being the son of God the
creator  of  the  cosmos---who had been  sent  by  God  to
redeem  people from their  evil  relationships  of  mutual
judgment and  condemnation.

     Not all evil  relationships have   been  transcended.
There  are  even  today  self
righteous    religious   leaders   who  in  the   name  of
Christianity  teach and  preach  self righteous judgements
and  condemnations----like those of the religious  leaders
who  to    took    the  ancient   initiatives   to    have
ancient governmental  authorities  crucify  Jesus  because
of  his integrity  and  works  of love and healing.    The
modern    religious    leaders   of   judgmentalism    and
condemnation    seek   to    get   today's    governmental
authorities to join  them  in their alienative efforts, as
did religious leaders of old.

     Today we need to re-learn how to  recognize,   name,
describe  and talk about the evil relationships  initiated
by  self-righteous religious leaders of judgmentalism  and
condemnation;   and  to witness to the healing  power   of
integrative  love  as  revealed in the  life,   death  and
resurrection   demonstrated   by  Jesus  and   the   early
