     In  physics,   the  analysis of a situation  and  the
prediction  of the likely cause and  effect  relationships
between  elements (parts,  pieces) of the situation rarely
take  into  account  the history of any  of  the  elements

elements   (parts,   pieces)   rarely  play  any  role  in
physicists' patterns of understanding.

     The ability to understand and predict depends greatly
upon:

     1.  The number of elements (part, pieces) involved,

     2.  The frequencies of cyclic processes,

     3.  The   strengths/complexities   of    interactions
between elements (parts, pieces),

     4.  How   far   and   accurately  into   the   future
predictions are attempted, and

     5.  How  important the histories of elements  (parts,
