     Non-violent  traditions  do  not  coerce  people  who
participate in them;  but rather support their efforts  to
be  true  to themselves and to  others  within  charitable
contexts  which  give  the gift of true  security  as  the
freedom to be safely vulnerable in intimate relationships.

     Non-violence  is  not merely the absence of  physical
violence.   Non-violence includes the absence of coercion,
manipulations,  and preoccupations with being in  control.
Where there are preoccupations with being in control there
is  bound to be some form of violence;   overt  or covert,
recognized or un-recognized, conscious or sub-conscious.

     Non-violent  traditions  are  true  traditions  which
promote participants' freedom to be true to themselves and
to   each   other---in  open  and   honest   relationships
characterized  by intimacy,  risk,  trust,  security,  and
