     If in a community people  are  initially  openly  and
honestly  responsive,   and are true to themselves and  to
others;  and  find that they are embarrassed,   ridiculed,
coerced,  manipulated, forced to conform, violated,  etc.;
then they learn to be dishonest,  non-responsive,  silent,
withdrawn,  inhibited,  secretive and to behave like those
who   caused  them  to  stop  being  openly  and  honestly
responsive,   and to stop being true to themselves and  to
others.

  Dishonesty and non-responsiveness are taught.

  We  are taught not to be true to ourselves and  to
others  by  people  who  embarrass,   ridicule,    coerce,
manipulate,  force conformity,  and violate us when we are
initially openly and honestly responsive.  Dishonesty is a
defense  technique  taught to us by technocrats  who  were
taught   not  to  be  openly  and   honestly   responsive.
Dishonesty is a self perpetuating disintegrative technique
which grows exponentially; because it grows in  proportion
to how pervasive it already is.    We must constantly work
to  counter-balance the tendency for dishonesty to grow if
we are to retain our personal and communal integrity.

     When   people  have  been  taught  to  be  dishonest,
secretive,   and to avoid making themselves vulnerable  by
being openly responsive;  then they are incapable of being
responsible   citizens;    because   at   the   core    of
