Are there a finite number of questions and an associated finite number of answers? Many truths are contextually true. The meaning of what is offered depends upon the context in which it is offered. To extract the offering from its context is to change the meaning of the offering. Thus the meaning of any writing depends upon the context in which the writing is found. To adequately deal with situations which present themselves to us we need to deal with them contextually, and to offer insights which are contextually relevant. There are many many issues which present themselves to us in an infinite number of different combinations. It is futile to try to sort them out into a finite number of issues within a finite number of contexts. To fully deal with each issue we would have to offer insights into the issue within each conceivable context in which it might arise, in contexts defined by the multitude of different combinations of other co- present issues. Thus the topics upon which we need to focus attention are not isolated topics, but topics defined by the infinity of possible combinations of inter-related topics. Topics of importance are defined not only by single isolated words, but by the infinite variety of combination of key words which point to key issues in an infinity of contextual combinations. We need to speak to and refer back to insights into contextual insights which are more varied than the list of isolated single words which we can use to index isolated issues. Indexing must thus have to do with combinations of words, not just isolated words. Thus these essays are indexed as they are, with multiple key-word look-up procedures. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
