     When   one person treats another person in such a way
as  to  rob the other of their dignity  and/or  integrity,
then both are depersonalized in the process.

     One  person cannot manipulate and/or do  violence  to
another  person  without  doing  violence  to  their   own
personhood  and integrity.

     Manipulative  efforts  destroy personal relationships
and  their   participants,     not  just  the  object   of
the manipulative effort.

     Trying  to  manipulate another  person  destroys  the
personal relationships  with  that person,   and  destroys
personal  relationships   with other persons to  whom  the
manipulated person is important.

     Violence  is  reflexive,   it reflects back upon  the
violator  in   ways  which destroy the  integrity  of  the
violator,   as well as destroying the intended victim.

     We   protect  our own integrity and dignity  when  we
protect  other   people's   integrity  and  dignity.    We
protect   other  people's  integrity  and dignity when  we
protect   our   own  integrity  and  dignity.   We  cannot
separate  the two kinds of protection.    When  we try  to
separate the  two  kinds  of protection, we disintegrate.
