Stuck people tend to be trapped in an exclusive pattern of thought and feeling, unable to change; repeating mistakes over and over, unable to learn new ways. Stuck people are often idealists who live in terms of unrealistic and absolute ideals which are so demanding that they cannot be fulfilled. In the absence of fulfillment, stuck people are often frustrated and prone to violence. They are dangerous people. Stuck people are usually trapped in a prison made of misleading beliefs, convictions, ideals, goals, behaviors and appearances. They are often dishonest and associate with dishonest people as their best friends, because they have no healthy friends. They play collusive games of mutual self deception contending that they are not stuck in prison; and so they refuse to change any of their beliefs, convictions, ideals, goals, behaviors and appearances. They are defensive about who they are, because behind their masks of self confidence and perfection is rotten insecurity, and a lack of healthy self-esteem. Stuck people are confused. They are not what they appear t be. They seek to avoid change and the learning of new ways from the lessons of mistakes made. They are not trust-worthy, for they repeat mistakes over and over. They are not responsible, because they are not honestly responsive or open. Stuck people cannot be changed by people who respond to them in ways which copy their patterns of beliefs, convictions, ideals, goals, behaviors and appearances; e.g., in trying to reform stuck people and/or to control them.
